Underwriting

The ceiling of a line is a pure function of public chain data. Anyone can recompute it.

What is read

  • USDG Transfer events into the agent's inbox, and into its previous pay-to address when the agent signs with that address.
  • The trailing 30 days, counted back from the latest block.
  • Transfers from the agent's own owner, payout, inbox or pay-to address, and from Softline itself, are excluded.

The formula

grosssum of counted transfers in the window
cap25% of gross
countedsum over payers of min(payer total, cap)
ceiling50% of counted, rounded down to whole USDG, at most 25,000 USDG
eligibleceiling of 10 USDG or more

The payer cap means an agent paid by a single wallet can borrow at most 12.5% of what that wallet sent it in a month; it takes four or more payers of similar size to reach the full 50%.

The signature

The underwriter signs Ceiling(agentId, inbox, ceiling, expiry) with EIP-712 under the domainSoftline version 1, valid for 24 hours. openLine checks it and refuses a target above the ceiling. The underwriter can only sign a ceiling; it cannot move funds, and lenders still decide whether to fund.
